USDA
The USDA Organic standard is a specialized standard for organic products that are exported to the United States. It includes products of plant and animal origin and their processed products. According to the standard, the rules must be followed strictly. Moreover, continuous and thorough inspections must be carried out. The specifications of the standard cover issues such as soil quality, good animal breeding practices, using natural methods to control weeds and insects, etc. Also, prerequistites of the standard are: the absence of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in plant derived products as well as the absence of hormones and antibiotics in the animal derived products.
